I have officially done my very first cabling! I cabled a little owl for a fingerless glove I'm making. He will be cuter when he has little button eyes, but I'm very proud of him just as he is. :o)
The pattern was originally written in Italian, so the English version has some mistakes in it. But I think I've figured them all out, and I just love my little owl!
He *is* beautiful ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, he's so sweet! I want to try that pattern now!
ReplyDelete@Amy - I agree. :o)
ReplyDelete@Marlene E. - You should! It's really fun!
So cute! Looks great! I made an owl cuff for a friend once. It was supposed to be fingerless gloves but I found them so complicated (I hadn't been knitting very long) that I shortened it! It doesn't look like you had any trouble though...look forward to seeing your gloves!
ReplyDeleteCool Kelsie!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how to cable knit too.

@Anna - It was a little hard to follow because of the translation mistakes, but I got it all figured out. :o)
ReplyDelete@Mary - Do you have any cable needles? They're really easy and fun, too!
